Mishnayot in Memory

1. Data collection

• The board's organizer: name, email address, and the details of the deceased that were entered — name, father's or mother's name, dates of passing and burial.
• A participant: name, and an email address or a phone number, whichever the participant chose to give. Also what they took and when they marked it as done.
• Technical: the IP address is kept for one hour only, to prevent abuse (rate limiting).

2. Why it is used

Only to run the board: to show who took what, to send the personal link, and to send reminders to those who agreed to receive them. Consent to receive messages is asked of each participant directly, when they take a part — not given by the organizer on their behalf. The details are not sold and not passed on to anyone. No message from the site asks for money.

3. Who sees it

• On the public board, which anyone with its link can see, only the first name and the initial of the family name of whoever took a part appear ("Sarah K."). The siyum page shows the same.
• The organizer sees the full name and the email address or phone number of the participants on their own board, so that they can contact them.

4. How long it is kept

• Participants' contact details are deleted 90 days after the board is completed, or 90 days after the target date if it is not. The first name stays in the list of learners on the siyum page.
• Sent emails are kept for up to 30 days, to look into problems, and are then deleted.
• The boards' data is backed up every night, and each backup is deleted after 30 days. Information deleted from the site may therefore remain in a backup for up to 30 more days.
• The organizer can delete the whole board at any time, from the dashboard.

5. Email

The site sends a participant their personal link and, if they agreed, a reminder before the target date. It receives replies — a participant can take a part or mark it done by email — and reads only what is needed to act on them. Emails carry no tracking links and no tracking pixels. A reply that is not an instruction to the board is forwarded to the person who runs the site.

6. Cookies

One cookie per board, to remember who took a part so they do not have to type it again. A sign-in cookie for the organizer, with the list of boards opened in that browser, to show them on the sign-in page. A cookie that remembers the language chosen. There are no other cookies.

7. Service providers

The site runs on Cloudflare (servers, database and email). If sending through Cloudflare fails, an email may be sent through Resend. Both process the information only to provide the service.

8. Your rights

You may ask to see the information about you, to correct it or to delete it, under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law. Write to the address below, or to contact@limudneshama.com.

9. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page and on the site with a new "last updated" date.
